BioPhase Solutions is dedicated to connecting exceptional talent with leading organizations in Southern California's scientific sector. We are currently seeking a Production Operator (contract) for a prominent biotechnology firm in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Compensation: $18-22/hour (contract)
Position Summary: The Production Operator will be responsible for executing assigned tasks while adhering to all company protocols and quality management system directives. This role involves interpreting and following assembly specifications and inspecting completed products. The individual will collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to enhance product quality and operational processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and assemble components as per specifications.
  • Construct products in alignment with company standards.
  • Utilize basic hand tools and machinery effectively.
  • Accurately interpret and execute procedures, routing, and work instructions.
  • Adhere to established protocols to fulfill production requirements, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Safely operate machinery and production tools in accordance with guidelines.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, including equipment and materials.
  • Monitor and ensure the proper flow of materials through automated systems.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to reduce product defects.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards to minimize errors.
  • Keep precise daily production records for performance assessment and meet production deadlines.
  • Comply with relevant quality system elements.
  • Inspect product quality and address any defects immediately.
  • Participate in audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Follow testing protocols as per company guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory control and material handling.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
  • Ensure the appropriate flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to guidelines.
  • Report progress, updates, and quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulations, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned across various functions/departments as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in assembly, production, or a related field.
  • Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to keep a clean and organized workspace.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, document review, and communication.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and coordination, as the role requires repetitive movements.
  • Strong eyesight for detail and safety awareness.
  • Experience with precision tools and equipment is essential.
  • Prior experience in a cleanroom environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials, up to 35 lbs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and quality personnel.
  • Willingness to learn new skills as required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
