Los Angeles, California, United States Hadrian Automation, Inc. Full time

About Us:

We encourage candidates to thoroughly review all aspects of this job listing before proceeding with their application.

Hadrian Automation, Inc. specializes in developing software-driven, high-precision manufacturing facilities for leading aerospace firms globally.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about enhancing manufacturing processes, empowering our engineers to create sophisticated software, and machinists who are dedicated to advancing the industry.

Position Overview
The Production Engineering Specialist plays a critical role in providing comprehensive production support and facilitating the scaling of manufacturing operations.

This position is accountable for seamlessly integrating new customer technical requirements into the factory's capabilities, aiding the transition from low-rate to high-volume production, and leading the implementation of new automated production technologies and software upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support:

  • Ensure compliance with documentation and customer specifications for quality assurance.2. Facilitate the onboarding of new clients, confirming that the factory's technical capabilities align with their expectations.3. Assist in prioritizing tasks and managing workflow during peak production times to ensure efficiency.4. Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving production defects, driving root cause analysis to enhance yield and minimize rework.

Scaling Efforts:

  • Lead the factory's evolution from low-rate to high-volume manufacturing, identifying and executing necessary adjustments in processes and infrastructure.2. Integrate new automated production technologies, collaborating with software engineers to enhance software solutions that support manufacturing operations.4. Modify shop floor layouts and processes to meet high-volume production demands, such as establishing high-volume wash stations and creating dedicated workstations for insert installation.5. Develop production methodologies in less structured areas of our operational framework.

Success Factors

Intelligence:
Identify key signals and prioritize actions in a dynamic environment.

Example:
Evaluates production metrics to pinpoint bottlenecks and implement targeted enhancements in machine utilization and workflow.

Autonomy:
Establish pragmatic and focused objectives for individual projects that align with broader business goals.

Example:

Independently formulates and executes a strategy to incorporate a new automated inspection system, reducing quality control durations and boosting throughput.

Standardization:
Recognize the significance of standardizing personnel and physical processes.

Example:
Champions the standardization of machining processes across various production lines to ensure consistent product quality and minimize variability.

Decisiveness:
Facilitate prompt decision-making and action rather than getting mired in analysis.

Example:

Swiftly determines a corrective action plan in response to a significant production challenge, reducing downtime and preserving production timelines.
