Position Overview:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer dedicated to enhancing our operational productivity and efficiency through thorough analysis, design, and the implementation of tools, processes, and equipment.

Selected candidates will experience a rotation across various projects and departments, gaining insights into diverse manufacturing processes and tools. Skills will be honed in areas such as: Lean tool implementation, Ergonomic enhancements, Layout generation & PFEP, Jig & Fixture design, Manufacturing process development, and Work instruction creation. These competencies will prepare the candidate for the responsibilities outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and design manufacturing processes by leveraging knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials while gathering insights from operators, stakeholders, and equipment manufacturers.
  • Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and strategizing workflow, spatial requirements, and equipment arrangement.
  • Provide critical manufacturing decision-making data by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production timelines; and estimating future needs.
  • Compile product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Assist in managing capital expenditures, including project identification, justification, and completion.
  • Achieve productivity targets as specified in the operational plan.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Familiarity with value stream mapping, problem-solving techniques, facilitation, and Lean principles and tools.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar layout and design software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Practical mechanical skills, gained through hobbies or formal training.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Salary Range: $92,000 - $110,854.70
