Position Overview

We are currently in search of a Manufacturing Associate, Upstream to become part of a prominent biotechnology organization in the Greater Los Angeles area.

This position offers a competitive compensation package, with salaries ranging from $65,000 to $80,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute manufacturing processes in compliance with cGMP standards, including the management of batch records, troubleshooting equipment, and resolving issues.
  • Implement process operations in alignment with production schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance within the manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisory personnel.
  • Conduct expansions of cell cultures while employing aseptic techniques.
  • Operate Rocker Modules and NOVA Analyzers proficiently.
  • Perform TFF Harvest operations as required.
  • Prepare essential cGMP documentation pertinent to Cell Culture manufacturing.
  • Uphold aseptic gowning qualifications and engage in routine media fills.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Provide support for Downstream operations as necessary.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at process enhancement.
  • Oversee the ordering and availability of materials for production activities.
  • Fulfill organizational training prerequisites.
  • Carry out additional assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science field; 0-4+ years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector – both recent graduates and seasoned professionals are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in cleanroom settings and under aseptic conditions.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and extended hours as needed.
  • Able to lift up to fifty pounds and maintain standing positions for extended periods while adhering to safety guidelines.
