Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Front Desk Clerk to join our team at JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room assignments, and processing payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all guest check-ins, including confirming reservations and assigning rooms
  • Process all payments, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • Process all check-outs, including resolving any late and disputed charges
  • Answer and record all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed
  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest
  • Run daily reports, including number of arrivals and departures, and identify any special requests
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system
  • Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks
  • Count bank at the beginning and end of shift
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • No license or certification required
