Job Summary

Developmental Pathways Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Director to lead our team of professionals in providing high-quality behavioral services to children and families. As a Clinical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of effective treatment plans, training staff, and ensuring the highest level of care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead a team of professionals in providing behavioral services, including goal-focused observations, evaluations, and feedback on the implementation of behavioral services.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement behavioral and educational methods and materials to increase skills, including PEAK, DTT, token economy, PECS, and task analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and evaluate data on each client's progress to increase socially significant behaviors.
  • Client Programs: Create client-specific programs that address unique deficits and needs, ensuring compliance with ABA age guidelines.
  • Program Coordination: Ensure clients have a plan of care in place within two weeks of client authorization for services, with regular updates and organization of programming.
  • Staff Training: Train staff on evidence-based practices and their correlation to contract fulfillment, as well as provide ongoing training on program implementation, data collection methods, and current autism research.
  • Caregiver Collaboration: Collaborate with caregivers/parents to create materials and ensure parent education goals are incorporated into programs.
  • Performance Reviews: Meet with Clinical Director(s) on a weekly basis to review clinical competency and conduct regular reviews of BCBA, Program Manager, and Behavior Technician performance.
  • Clinical Consultation: Communicate clinical concerns and needs promptly to client supervisors and provide consultation to caregivers/parents utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Reduction.
  • Service Delivery: Identify factors interfering with effective service delivery and schedule meetings to collaborate and develop resolution.
  • Program Accuracy: Ensure accuracy, reliability, and validity of all programs, using empirically based procedures and analyzing data.
  • Reporting: Produce professional reports and assessments that clearly depict client skills, progress, and parent education goals, including visual graphs, measurable goals, and objective summaries.
  • Time Management: Produce accurate time records and monitor client schedules, session notes, and rendered hours for accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or other Social Science related field.
  • Experience: BCBA certified for at least 5 years, with a minimum of 7 years of experience working with children/parents with disabilities.
  • Leadership Experience: Professional experience in supervising, training, and mentoring staff in the field of ABA in a treatment setting.
  • Technical Skills: Experience writing session notes, progress reports, assessment reports, and graphing, as well as a functional understanding of advanced ABA principles (DTT, PRT, Verbal Behavior).
  • Functional Behavioral Analysis: Previous experience conducting functional behavioral analyses (FBA).
  • Cultural Competence: Knowledge of developmental milestones from ages 12 months to 18 years of age, and the ability to serve culturally and linguistically diverse families in low and high SES areas.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent time management, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
