Key Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of six months of experience in the hospitality or service sector.
  • Proficiency in the primary language(s) of the workplace.
  • Ability to interpret safety guidelines and operational manuals.
  • Competence in writing routine correspondence and reports.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly in group settings.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Understanding of property management systems and other relevant software.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.

These qualifications represent the minimum requirements for successful performance in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to operational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete all required checklist items for each shift.
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs with professionalism and a personalized touch.
  • Process hotel reservations accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in the execution of special projects as needed.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Foster positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
  • Ensure all phone calls are handled courteously and efficiently.
  • Maintain a detailed log of guest requests and complaints, ensuring resolution.
  • Open and balance cash drawers, verifying all transactions.
  • Maintain accuracy in billing and accounting procedures.
  • Stay informed about hotel availability, rates, and special events.
  • Issue safety deposit boxes upon request.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of local attractions and amenities.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and management to meet hotel needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
  • Ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Stay aware of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Participate in relevant meetings.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months of experience in a related field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential functions safely and consistently.
  • Regular, punctual attendance is required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and squatting is necessary.
