Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
- A minimum of six months of relevant experience in the hospitality or service sector.
- Proficiency in the primary language(s) of the workplace is essential.
- Capability to interpret safety guidelines, operational manuals, and other relevant documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competence in creating documents using Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with various computer programs, including Property Management Systems.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established operational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Complete all required shift tasks and checklists.
- Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out processes for guests.
- Accurately handle hotel reservations.
- Support the planning and execution of special projects.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with both guests and team members.
- Ensure all incoming calls are handled professionally and courteously.
- Maintain an accurate log of guest requests and complaints.
- Secure and balance shift banks, verifying all transactions.
- Uphold accuracy in all billing and accounting practices.
- Stay informed about hotel availability, rates, and local events.
- Assist guests with safety deposit box requests.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of local attractions and amenities.
- Maintain open communication with all departments and management.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Regularly check that all equipment is in safe working order.
- Stay updated on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Participate in relevant meetings and training sessions.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months of experience in hospitality or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential functions safely and effectively.
- Regular, punctual attendance is required.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and squatting are necessary.
