Position Overview

Applied Innovation is in search of a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to take on the role of vCIO/Technical Account Manager. This position is centered around post-sales account management and involves direct reporting to the vCIO Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing a portfolio of existing clients and addressing their technology and security requirements.
  • Actively listening to clients to comprehend their technological needs and financial limitations.
  • Documenting the client's technological landscape.
  • Identifying necessary products and services to enhance the client's operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with clients and internal teams to generate accurate quotes.
  • Researching technology trends and compiling recent client activities to develop strategic technology roadmaps.
  • Reviewing and discussing the technology roadmap with clients, providing expert guidance based on their feedback.
  • Engaging with the Service team to relay client insights.
  • Advising clients on technology advancements and opportunities through regular meetings and Business Technology Reviews.
  • Fostering and nurturing business relationships is crucial for our success.
  • Facilitating strategic planning sessions and meetings with clients.
  • Communicating in a positive, professional manner.
  • Providing mentorship and support to Technology Specialists.
  • Staying informed about new software and hardware developments.
  • Managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Familiarity with the following technologies:
    • Windows Desktop Operating Systems and productivity applications
    • Apple iOS/Android OS devices
    • Configuration and Administration of Exchange and Office 365
    • Windows Server Setup and Administration
    • VMWare Server Setup and Administration
    • Managed Switch and Router Configuration
    • Firewall Configuration and Administration
    • Wireless Network Configuration
    • Backup Configuration and Administration
  • Strong presentation skills in small group settings.
  • Ability to master the features of a defined product line.
  • Capability to interpret complex network architectures.
  • Skill in coaching team members through intricate problem-solving processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple project deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in following and drafting procedural documentation.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Dependability, professionalism, and strong organizational skills.
  • Capacity to quickly learn and manage new information technology systems.
  • High adaptability and problem-solving abilities.
  • A valid US Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Education and Experience

Candidates should have:

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in leadership roles, particularly in communicating complex solutions to executive-level stakeholders.
Work Environment

This role typically involves indoor work, with occasional travel for client meetings outside standard business hours. The position is considered active, with a low to moderate noise level in the work environment.
