Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Healthcare Operations will serve as a pivotal administrative leader within a prominent multi-specialty medical group. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of exceptional healthcare services across various settings, from outpatient clinics to hospital environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and management of operational support functions essential for the seamless functioning of the medical group.
  • Ensure that practices operate effectively in alignment with established business plans and financial frameworks.
  • Collaborate with physician leadership and team members to uphold and refine organizational policies and procedures.
  • Engage in medical group committees that intersect with operational initiatives and present findings to the governing Board.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors to optimize service delivery and evaluate performance for continuous improvement.
  • Lead negotiations for essential contracts pertaining to physician services, ensuring consistency in payment methodologies.
  • Foster the growth and development of physicians, enhancing their administrative skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Partner with leadership to identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities within the organization.
  • Oversee the integration of new physicians and specialty services into the operational framework.
  • Exemplify superior communication skills, maintaining effective interactions with various stakeholders within the healthcare system.

Qualifications:

  • Education: MBA or MHA preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in the healthcare sector, with a focus on physician practice operations, finance, and strategic planning.
  • Skills: Strong ethical standards, effective communication, innovative thinking, teamwork, leadership, decision-making, organizational skills, strategic planning, problem-solving abilities, political acumen, and relationship management.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the CEO and has oversight of physician contracting and related services.

Work Environment:

The role is primarily office-based with requirements for travel and participation in meetings at various times.
