Job Summary



The Associate Personnel Analyst will work independently and as a member of the HR team to provide personnel consultation to staff and management at the Office of Tax Appeals. The successful candidate will perform a wide array of personnel assignments, including but not limited to:




  • Providing guidance on personnel-related matters to staff and management
  • Developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures
  • Coordinating recruitment and hiring activities
  • Conducting employee relations and investigations
  • Providing training and development opportunities to staff


Requirements



To be considered for this position, applicants must have:




  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human resources or business administration
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a personnel-related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of personnel laws and regulations


Preferred Qualifications



The ideal candidate will have:




  • A master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with personnel information systems
  • Knowledge of California state civil service laws and regulations
  • Fluency in a second language


Working Conditions
