Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Identification and Assessment:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on their technical capabilities, quality benchmarks, pricing, and dependability.
  • Establish and sustain a strong supplier network to meet current and future operational requirements.

Cost Control:

  • Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to achieve advantageous terms and pricing.
  • Execute cost-saving strategies while ensuring product quality and dependability.

Quality Control:

  • Work in conjunction with the quality assurance team to confirm that suppliers comply with the company’s quality standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct routine supplier evaluations and performance assessments to foster continuous improvement.

Project Coordination:

  • Oversee sourcing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely execution and compliance with budgetary limits.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to synchronize sourcing efforts with product development and manufacturing timelines.

Technical Guidance:

  • Offer technical knowledge in selecting materials, components, and production processes.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and enhance designs for manufacturability.

Risk Mitigation:

  • Recognize and alleviate risks within the supply chain, including geopolitical, economic, and environmental considerations.
  • Formulate contingency strategies to ensure supply chain robustness.

Documentation and Analysis:

  • Keep precise records of supplier communications, contracts, and performance indicators.
  • Generate regular reports on sourcing initiatives, cost efficiencies, and supplier performance for upper management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong technical foundation with the capability to comprehend intricate engineering specifications and requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and cost-saving projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Robust project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software/tools.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
