Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Specialist 2 to join our team at the State of Oregon. As a key member of our Office of Facilities Management, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, security, shipment, inventory, and recordkeeping of a wide variety of property, equipment, food, forms, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process requests for supplies and equipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Acquire and manage a range of supplies, food, forms, materials, and equipment within established financial limits or authorized purchasing power.
  • Inspect and verify the condition and quantity of received items, and repackage or return damaged or incorrect goods.
  • Store and maintain inventory of office supplies, forms, food, excess/surplus property, equipment, and janitorial supplies in a clean and organized manner.
  • Deliver and distribute items, load pallets for shipment, and package and deliver or ship supplies to various locations.
  • Maintain accurate records related to requisition, purchase, receipt, stocking, inventory, and delivery of supplies.
Requirements
  • Three years of experience in stocking, storeroom, or warehouse operations, including purchasing, inventory management, and shipping/receiving.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with ability to provide support to internal and external customers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic computer software skills, with ability to learn and utilize new systems and technologies.
Working Conditions
  • This role requires working in a standard warehouse environment, with potential exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and challenging weather conditions.
  • 20% travel to Portland is required, with ability to commute and participate in emergency situations as needed.
