This is a part-time position for 1 year. The schedule will be negotiated when selected.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and Design Solutions: Responsible for analyzing and designing solutions to networking issues, providing technical support to other departments, as well as troubleshooting, diagnosing and solving issues with both hardware and software.
  • Technical Expertise: May require a bachelor's degree and at least 9 years or equivalent experience in a related area.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and technologies in the field.
  • Creativity: A certain degree of creativity is required.
  • Project Scope: The purpose of this request is to procure a Technical Specialist for the client's Information Systems Branch, Enterprise Application Services.
Primary Tasks:
  • Analyze and Evaluate ColdFusion Application Software Code: Analyze and evaluate ColdFusion application software code to determine features that will be retired, removed, deprecated, or unsupported in ColdFusion 2023.
  • Recommend Mitigation Options: Recommend mitigation options for applications that contain ColdFusion 2023 retired, removed, deprecated, or unsupported features.
  • Upgrade Application Software Code: Upgrade application software code to utilize HTTPS and create Azure Deploy Pipelines as needed.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Troubleshoot issues related to agency ColdFusion applications migrated from version 2018 to 2023.
  • Migration Recommendation: Make a recommendation for migration of agency ColdFusion applications that need mediation.
  • Progress Communication: Provide estimates to complete assigned tasks and communicate progress.
  • Task Management: Manage multiple task assignments concurrently and execute work in order of priority. Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • User Interaction: Ability to interact with users, clearly understand their needs and document those needs.
  • IS Development Lifecycle: Understand Information System Development Lifecycle methodology.
  • Requirements Management: Experience with requirements management and perform analysis within source code.
  • Software Architecture: Ability to architect and document the logical structure for software systems and databases.
  • ColdFusion Experience: Must have experience with ColdFusion solutions, code analyzer, and version migrations.
  • ColdFusion Development: Must have advanced skills in developing, testing and deploying ColdFusion applications.
