Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our Mid-Market Territory team in Canada. As a key member of our sales organization, you will play a crucial role in driving new business acquisition and expanding our customer base in the region.

Responsibilities
  1. Source and Cultivate Opportunities: Proactively identify and pursue new strategic business opportunities within Select Named Accounts, conducting strategic outbound prospecting through phone calls, emails, in-person field events, and online outreach to generate leads.
  2. Sales Cycle Management: Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial contact to close, with a focus on meeting or exceeding quarterly sales quotas, conducting online demos, creating compelling proposals, and actively participating in demos & trials / proof of concepts to showcase Verkada's value proposition.
  3. Territory Planning and Forecasting: Develop and implement a strategic territory plan to maximize opportunities within the Territory Canada segment, maintaining accurate pipeline management and contributing to forecasting efforts to ensure goal alignment.
  4. Customer Engagement and Consultation: Act as a trusted advisor to customers within the Territory segment, understanding their needs and recommending Verkada solutions, collaborating closely with channel partners to enhance customer relationships and drive successful launches, and initiating and managing expansion discussions to drive customer retention.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of sales experience, with a track record of success in a quota-carrying capacity.
  • Possess a hunter sales mentality with a strong desire to be successful, and have a proven track record of prospecting, closing new logos, and landing accounts against incumbents.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, nurture relationships, and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, competitive, and fast-paced startup environment.
  • Tenacity, drive to learn, and a self-motivated attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo & Outreach is a plus.
  • Knowledge and execution of MEDDPICC is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams: Channel, Sales Engineering and Marketing.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, presentations, and team collaborations.

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity.

This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada's total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Estimated Annual Pay Range: $85,000-$220,000 USD
