Position Summary:

The Parts Counter Representative is responsible for selling industry-specific parts through various channels, including over-the-counter, phone, and email, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers, both internal and external, in acquiring necessary parts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate and prompt pricing information and other parts-related details to customers.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls as necessary.
  • Develop and nurture assigned accounts.
  • Promote related parts to customers.
  • Process returns and issue credits for returned items.
  • Make informed credit decisions in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Prepare orders for customers and assist with loading parts into vehicles.
  • Manage inventory responsibilities, including cycle counts and notifying management of out-of-stock items.
  • Maintain precise records of repair orders, invoices, and special orders.
  • Coordinate and manage orders for shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  • Engage in training programs and stay updated on new products and updates.
  • Review open-order reports and manage invoices efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers through various channels.
  • Inspect cores and manage monthly returns to vendors.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in parts learning systems through e-learning modules.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in truck parts.

  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a truck dealership setting.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require the employee to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception. The employee is regularly required to use hands and arms for various tasks and may frequently stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
