Position Summary:

The Parts Counter Representative is responsible for selling industry-related components through various channels, including over-the-counter, phone, and email, while ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in locating necessary parts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate pricing and parts-related information promptly.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls as needed.
  • Develop and nurture assigned accounts.
  • Encourage customers to consider related parts.
  • Process returns and issue credits for returned items.
  • Make informed credit decisions in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Prepare orders for customers and assist with loading parts into vehicles.
  • Manage inventory responsibilities, including cycle counts and out-of-stock notifications.
  • Maintain precise records of repair orders, invoices, and special orders.
  • Coordinate and manage orders for shipment, delivery, or pickup.
  • Participate in training programs and stay updated on new products.
  • Review open-order reports and manage invoices within specified timeframes.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers through various channels.
  • Inspect cores and manage monthly vendor returns.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in parts learning systems through e-learning modules.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in truck parts.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a truck dealership environment.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require the employee to lift and/or move items weighing up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and depth perception. The employee will regularly use their arms, hands, and fingers for various tasks and may need to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear, with occasional kneeling or crouching.
