The National Accounts Manager - West Region is a key position within the Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, responsible for developing and sustaining long-term customer relationships with national builders, retailers, distributors, pro dealers, and one steppers. This individual will provide overall account leadership, managing the customer as a business on behalf of LP, and bear full responsibility for building a strategic plan to drive value co-creation and meet or exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities- Build LP brand equity and awareness by increasing sales in the West Region across the Pro-Dealer Channel.
- Establish strong trust-based partnerships with customer stakeholders, supporters, and sponsors.
- Identify and execute new growth opportunities that are mutually profitable for LP and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple departments internally and with customers to meet account sales targets.
- Manage multiple projects from ideation to execution, demonstrating strong written/oral communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Work with Sr. Account NAMs on West executions while meeting customer's national needs.
- Develop strategic plans with Sr. NAMs, Field Sales Team, and Customer, demonstrating strong analytical, fact-based selling with compelling business cases.
- Obtain and comply with strategic account management certification training.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
- Self-motivated individual with a bias for action.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage several projects while collaboratively executing across cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the organization to customers across various settings.
- Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyze sales and inventory data for trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Knowledge of customer account structure (merchandising, inventory, logistics) and how each interacts with vendors.
- Ability to align a team toward specific goals and advise on specific business requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- 10 years of demonstrated sales and marketing experience, including 2 years of National Accounts management experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building products industry or ability to learn a new industry quickly.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective sales methods.
- Strong negotiation and budget management skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective customer service and support.
- Executive level presentation skills.
- Program development and design skills.
- Ability to analyze sales and inventory data for trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Knowledge of customer account structure (merchandising, inventory, logistics) and how each interacts with vendors.
- Located in the West Region.
- Home office with frequent travel required (50-60%).
