Job Title: OCC Coordinator

Job Summary:

The OCC Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of flights by coordinating with various departments and stakeholders. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Dispatchers: Assist dispatchers on duty with maintaining operational control, TSA vetting, and the transmission of passenger flight manifests, including the generation of GENDECS.
  • Ground Handling Requests: Relay ground handling requests and operational schedules to downline stations and update them on flight status.
  • Flight Information and Delays: Coordinate flight information and delays with office staff and stations using the company's RAIDO/NOC system.
  • Review and Reconfirm: Review and reconfirm all details for the next day's ground handling, catering, and special services.
  • Follow-up and Updates: Follow up with stations on any irregularities or service failures and update departure/arrival information in RAIDO.
  • Communication and Reporting: Assist flight dispatchers in disseminating flight-critical information (diversions, emergencies, etc.) to all internal departments through the RED FLAG reporting system and notify all internal departments and involved stations of flight delay information.
  • Gate and Ramp Parking: Secure Miami gate and ramp parking assignments with the assistance of the local ground handling team.
  • Fueling and Aircraft Movement: Coordinate fueling with local vendors for departures out of Miami and assist in coordinating aircraft movement/placement at the home base.
  • Reporting and Manifest Changes: Report all ferry flights departing MIA daily to Miami-Dade County Ramp Control and make all applicable manifest changes for non-terminal operations for future flights by email and forwarding the corrected manifest to the assigned GSC, Ground Handler, and Passenger Services.
  • Communication and Coordination: Contact all assigned FBOs for the next day's operation to review report time and remind them to coordinate with assigned screeners when applicable and use Airline Choice to coordinate with the Handler for all manifest changes during flight check-in to remove no-show passengers or clear add-on passengers for security.
  • International Flights and APIS: Transmit all Domestic and International APIS information to Customs and follow up with the Security Department on any discrepancies with CBP and APIS programs.
  • Support and Communication: Assist Dispatch with phone calls, flight following, managing abnormal operations, and performing any other required duties and communicate aircraft movement messages to destination stations and TACC (Traffic Assignment Coordination Center).
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record and solid knowledge and experience in all aspects of Airside Operations (Ramp, Traffic, Baggage, etc.).
  • Multi-Cultural Environment: Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Aviation Qualifications: Aviation qualifications (FAA certificates).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with senior management, Miami Dade gate assignment personnel, and service providers, ensuring efficient and effective execution of operational plans and activities.
  • Understanding of Airport and Airline Ground Operations: An understanding of airport and airline ground operations.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in computer usage.
  • Communication and Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operation with holidays, weekends, shift work, and occasional short-notice callouts and availability to work 4 days per week, with 10-hour shifts.
