Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for executing inspection duties in accordance with the Global X Continues Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP). This role involves monitoring performance metrics of the CAMP through comprehensive audits of both internal and external organizations. The inspector ensures that all parts and materials comply with the standards set forth by Global X and FAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Line Maintenance, Remain Overnight (RON), and Receiving Inspections (RI).
  • Oversee maintenance practices, workmanship, and materials to ensure adherence to approved procedures and FAA regulations.
  • Perform Required Inspection Items (RII) during the inspection of work performed, including documentation verification.
  • Review completed aircraft records such as logbook entries, work cards, non-routine reports, and engineering documents.
  • Provide oversight during Heavy Maintenance or Special Maintenance Visits.
  • Ensure all assigned work documents and records are accurate and complete.
  • Document discrepancies in the maintenance logbook and non-routine forms.
  • Authorize the return to service of maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations.
  • Issue airworthiness releases (AWR).
  • Reject any work that does not meet established standards.
  • Identify and reject non-conforming parts during the RI process.
  • Prepare and distribute audit reports detailing hazards and risks identified during CAMP audits, along with necessary corrective actions.
  • Inspect and audit contractor activities in support of CAMP at Line Stations, including vendors for repair and overhaul services, maintenance contracts, deicing, fueling, and parts distribution.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance or Designated Quality Control.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the TRAX system.
  • Possess a valid A&P license with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated inspection experience, including RII Authorization.
  • Preferred experience in NDT, Liquid Penetrant, Eddy Current, and Borescope Inspections.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in handling aircraft parts and materials is required.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position require the employee to effectively perform essential functions. Regular activities include talking and hearing, standing, walking, using hands for handling or feeling, and reaching with arms. Occasional activities may involve sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
