Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for executing inspection duties in alignment with the Global X Continues Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP). This role involves monitoring performance metrics of the CAMP through systematic audits of both internal teams and external vendors. The inspector ensures that all components and materials comply with the standards set forth by Global X and the FAA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Line Maintenance and Receiving Inspections (RI) as required.
  • Oversee maintenance practices, workmanship, and materials to ensure adherence to Global X's approved procedures and FAA regulations.
  • Perform Required Inspection Items (RII) during various phases of maintenance work, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Review and audit aircraft maintenance records, including logbooks, work cards, and engineering documents related to C-Check, RON, and Line maintenance.
  • Provide oversight during Heavy Maintenance or Special Maintenance Visits.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all work documents and records assigned.
  • Document discrepancies in maintenance logbooks and non-routine forms.
  • Authorize return to service for maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations.
  • Issue airworthiness releases (AWR) as necessary.
  • Reject any work deemed unsatisfactory according to established procedures.
  • Identify and reject non-conforming parts during the RI process.
  • Prepare and distribute audit reports highlighting hazards and risks identified during CAMP audits, along with necessary corrective actions.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of contractor activities related to CAMP at Line Stations, including vendors providing repair, overhaul, maintenance, deicing, fueling, and parts distribution services.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance or Designated Quality Control personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in TRAX system.
  • Possess a valid A&P license with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated inspection experience, including RII Authorization, with verifiable records.
  • Preferred experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including Liquid Penetrant, Eddy Current, and Borescope Inspections.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in handling aircraft parts and materials is essential.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Regular communication is required, along with frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
