Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate ground handling services for passenger and cargo aircraft, including arranging necessary permits, parking, and other logistical arrangements.
  • Maintain effective communication with various stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
  • Develop proficiency in utilizing computer systems and software to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate event notification and reporting to aircraft dispatchers, crew controllers, and other relevant parties.
  • Project a professional image as a representative of Global Crossing Airlines to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate critical information to the Operations Control Center (OCC) and other departments.
  • Coordinate ground handling, catering, parking, and other services for ad-hoc and ACMI charter activities.
  • Verify the eligibility of aircraft for international flights.
  • Ensure the safe and compliant coordination of scheduled flights.
  • Interpret and apply relevant regulations to maintain compliance.
  • Provide external agents with necessary aircraft documents for trip planning.
  • Ensure adherence to procedures and policies by above- and below-wing personnel.
  • Submit and manage applications for airport slots, PPRs, landing, parking requests, and overflight permits as required.
  • Collaborate with US Customs and Border Protection to arrange departure clearances and arrival reservations/inspections.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of professional experience in the Aviation industry (preferred).
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Clear communication skills for telephone interactions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software.
  • Quick learning ability and assertiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Team player with ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours due to flight schedule changes.
  • On-call requirements.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include regular talking and hearing, frequent standing, walking, and use of hands for handling and reaching. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
