American Family Care (AFC) stands as one of the foremost providers of primary and urgent care services across the United States, operating seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our modern facilities are dedicated to the episodic treatment of acute medical conditions, injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational health services. Each center is equipped with an onsite laboratory and in-house x-ray capabilities.

AFC serves as the parent organization for AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This role involves direct collaboration with a franchised business location, where specific job responsibilities and benefits may differ among franchises.

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as a supervising physician for all mid-level providers within the clinic. With multiple locations available, there is potential to earn compensation for each site supervised.

This role includes guiding staff in delivering patient care and overseeing advanced practice providers.

Additionally, active participation in marketing efforts and community representation for the center is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the supervising physician for mid-level providers within the practice.

• Manage various aspects of a busy medical practice, ensuring proper follow-up, conducting chart reviews, and adhering to established policies.

• Ensure the center is equipped with the necessary tools, supplies, and medications for effective patient treatment.

• Guarantee that medical records are accurately documented, providing retraining for staff physicians as necessary.

• Compile quality assurance data and address findings with staff providers as required.

• Oversee Occupational Health and Travel Medicine initiatives.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (with a minimum of one year of experience in Emergency or Urgent Care).

• Exceptional communication skills with staff, patients, and families.

• Professional demeanor and appearance.

• Active and current medical licensure in the state of practice, along with a DEA number and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

• Flexible work-from-home options are available.
