American Family Care (AFC) stands as one of the premier providers of primary and urgent care services across the United States, operating seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our advanced facilities are dedicated to the episodic management of acute medical conditions, workplace injuries, and occupational health services. Each center is equipped with an onsite laboratory and in-house radiology capabilities.
AFC also oversees AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This role directly collaborates with a franchised business location, and specific job responsibilities and benefits may differ among franchises.
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as a supervising physician for all mid-level practitioners within the clinic. With multiple locations available, there is potential to earn $1,500 for each supervised site.
This role involves guiding staff in the delivery of patient care and providing oversight to advanced practice providers.
Additionally, you will engage in marketing efforts and represent the center within the community.Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the supervising physician for mid-level practitioners within the practice.
• Manage the various aspects of overseeing a busy medical practice, ensuring proper follow-up, conducting chart reviews, and enforcing adherence to policies.
• Ensure the center is adequately stocked with necessary equipment, supplies, and medications for effective patient treatment.
• Guarantee that medical records are thoroughly and accurately documented, providing retraining to staff physicians as necessary.
• Compile quality assurance data and address findings with staff providers as required.
• Oversee Occupational Health and Travel Medicine Programs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (with at least one year of experience in Emergency or Urgent Care).
• Strong communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Active and current medical licensure in the state of practice, along with a DEA number and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Flexible work-from-home options available.
