Key Responsibilities


The Lead Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) will:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and medical history.
  • Identify patient and family needs, providing education and support.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and ensure efficient patient care.
  • Manage medication refill requests and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Coordinate consultations, diagnostic tests, and follow-up appointments.
  • Triaging patient inquiries and documenting relevant information.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
  • Assist patients in accessing community resources.
  • Serve as a resource for LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
  • A valid RN state license and current registration.
  • Current CPR certification.

Working Conditions


The work environment is representative of a clinical setting, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions typical in an oncology clinic. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
