- Patient Care: Providing patient care as an Operating Room Nurse when necessary and supporting staff during breaks.
This role emphasizes the standardization and efficiency of patient care in the perioperative setting, modeling patient-centered care while assuming leadership responsibilities that significantly impact direct patient interactions, the perioperative unit, and the institution as a whole.
PEOPLE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Facilitates orientation, education, and training on perioperative workflows, inventory management, and care of supplies and instrumentation for Operating Room staff.

- Engages in performance improvement initiatives to enhance surgery and patient safety processes.
- Serves as a clinical resource for complex patient care situations, leading the interprofessional team in patient care implementation.
- Contributes to the development of perioperative standards and guidelines, ensuring compliance with core measures.
- Identifies cost-saving initiatives and collaborates with Supply Chain on new product evaluations.
- Assists in budget establishment and resource allocation to meet financial targets.
- Implements strategies to achieve financial goals through efficient care documentation and resource management.
- Participates in marketing service line programs and developing educational presentations for healthcare providers and community groups.
