Job Summary

Taro Pharmaceuticals Inc is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to support the global supply chain needs of our organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining purchase orders, resolving inventory-related issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders for finished goods and packaging materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to supply agreements.
  • Communicate with suppliers via electronic data interchange (EDI) or email to confirm receipt of orders.
  • Maintain purchase order status updates from contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers.
  • Resolve PO-related issues, such as late delivery or minimum order quantities, with the planning team and contract manufacturers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve receipt issues, including overages, shortages, or damages.
  • Update master data for all inventory-purchased items.
  • Transact weekly consumption of packaging materials into SAP.
  • Perform monthly inventory reconciliations with contract manufacturers to ensure alignment between their systems and our SAP system.
  • Assist the inventory analyst in resolving discrepancies caused by EDI, ASN, receiving, or other reasons.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings, such as weekly update meetings with contract manufacturers and internal cross-functional meetings.
  • Complete all assigned trainings and perform other duties as required by the CMO Manager or Director of Supply Chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
  • At least two years of demonstrated procurement buying experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong supplier management and change management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently or within a team construct.
  • Strong system and software skills, including intermediate Excel skills, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Results-focused and customer-service oriented.
