Job Summary

Taro Pharmaceuticals Inc is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to support the global supply chain needs of our organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining purchase orders, resolving inventory-related issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase Order Management: Create and maintain purchase orders in SAP for finished goods and packaging materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to supply agreements.
  • Inventory Management: Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies caused by EDI, ASN, receiving, or other reasons, working closely with the Inventory Analyst.
  • Supplier Management: Communicate and resolve PO problems with suppliers, including late delivery, minimum order quantities, and damages.
  • Master Data Maintenance: Update and maintain master data for all inventory purchased items in SAP.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on procurement activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Attend and participate in cross-functional meetings, including weekly update meetings with suppliers and internal meetings with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two or more years of demonstrated procurement buying experience, with a strong background in supplier management and inventory control.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, project management skills, and experience with SAP and other procurement software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
