About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Merchandise Business Unit as the Director of Merchandise Operations. This is a key leadership position that will be responsible for driving the strategic development and execution of our merchandise business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of professionals in the development, sales, sourcing, and maintenance of merchandise and corporate relationships.
  • Oversee all aspects of the business to ensure maximum results, including sales, marketing, and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with the marketing and e-commerce teams to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and partners.
  • Develop and implement plans to increase sales and margin, ensuring that all retail prices have sufficient margin to cover royalties and overhead.
  • Manage all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, income statements, balance sheets, and capital expenditure requests.
  • Ensure that all team members adhere to company standards and policies.
  • Develop new business opportunities by identifying and pursuing new customers and expanding existing relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or marketing.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success in leadership and business development.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive business results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of Legends Global Merchandise and department operations, including company policies, processes, and procedures.
