Merchandise Analyst

The Merchandise Analyst role at JD Finish Line is a critical position that requires a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building, executing, and analyzing reporting and tools that facilitate data-driven decision making across the organization.

• Develop and Analyze Reporting: Create and maintain reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to Merchandising and overall company goals.
• Manage and Run Dashboards: Oversee and execute existing portfolio of standard dashboards and reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
• Apply Quantitative Methods: Utilize advanced analytical techniques, data mining, modeling, and tools to solve business problems across Merchandising.
• Provide Business Insights: Effectively communicate business analyses and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Teams: Build strong relationships with Merchandising, IT, and external vendors to drive business outcomes.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of proven work ability in data analysis, reporting, or similar field.
• Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and ability to derive cohesive insights from various data sources.
• Communication: Ability to communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Continuous Learning: Desire to continually learn new skills, methods, and technologies as the job requires.

• Data Visualization: Proficient in data visualization techniques utilizing Tableau, Power BI, or other Business Intelligence tool(s).
• Database Knowledge: Working knowledge of relational databases and querying with SQL.
• Retail Experience: Retail industry experience, particularly in Merchandising.
