Position Overview
At Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation, we are at the forefront of designing, constructing, and operating cutting-edge aircraft and associated technologies, transforming visionary concepts into tangible realities.

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven AI/ML Researcher specializing in Autonomy to contribute to the evolution of flight technology.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Implementing and advancing state-of-the-art AI/ML methodologies to tackle complex challenges within the aerospace and defense sectors.
  • Facilitating the swift creation of innovative demonstrations and prototypes aimed at enhancing AI/ML-powered autonomous systems, which encompasses modeling, simulation, and real-world vehicle integration.
  • Collaborating on applied research and development initiatives with external entities, including prestigious institutions.
  • Assisting in the formulation of new research and development project proposals for governmental programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., PyTorch), artificial intelligence, computer vision, or natural language processing.
- Proficiency in software development (e.g., Python).
- Must be a US Person (US citizen or permanent resident/Green Card holder).

Preferred Qualifications:
- A PhD degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Background in robotics or autonomous vehicles.

Physical Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
- The selected candidate will be expected to perform some work onsite.

Salary Range (Annualized USD):
Minimum Range: $94,000.00 to $167,000.00
Maximum Range: $113,000.00 to $202,000.00
