Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, managing program and grant budgets while conducting thorough data analysis to evaluate program effectiveness and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight and Budgeting: Develop and supervise departmental budgets, ensuring proficiency in all software systems for monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Manage budget preparation and projected costs for the department, including drafting executive summaries based on fiscal year financial analysis.
  • Oversee budgets for grants, contracts, and renewals, adhering to university and funding source policies.
  • Provide monthly financial reports to Principal Investigators (PIs) and assist in grant closeouts in collaboration with the University Grant Accounting Office.

Financial Reporting:
Manage grant budgets, ensuring compliance and delivering monthly reports to PIs. Lead month-end and year-end accounting and reporting processes, including the preparation of special program operations reports.

Operational Support:
Guide faculty and research staff on grant regulations and budgets, ensuring compliance with deadlines for departmental budgets and grant funding.

Compliance and Transaction Processing:
Ensure adherence to contract and grant terms in line with university policies and regulations. Process expenses and personnel appointments to maintain budget compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Extensive proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Desired Skills:
Familiarity with university policies and grant management, along with experience in accounting and financial analysis.

Work Arrangement:
This position allows for a hybrid work model, combining on-campus and remote work.
