Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Financial Analyst to become a pivotal part of the finance team at Zoetis Spain SL. This role is essential in supporting the Finance Lead across various financial functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the financial planning, analysis, and control processes, including the annual budgeting cycle, product costing, and quarterly forecasting.
  • Provide insightful financial support and guidance to the site finance leader and broader leadership team, contributing to the enhancement of financial performance.
  • Monitor and analyze financial activities, acting as a crucial partner in clarifying financial details and assisting others in understanding them.
  • Engage in additional responsibilities such as ad-hoc reporting, responding to information requests, and maintaining historical financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, coordinating audit activities and promoting a robust financial controls environment.
  • Act as the Acting Site Finance Lead in the absence of the primary lead.

Organizational Relationships
This role is integral to the site, collaborating with various functions to provide essential financial support. Regular interactions with the site finance lead and central finance teams are expected, along with presenting financial results and forecasts to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or cost accounting is preferred.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as CMA/CPA are advantageous.
  • Proficient understanding of U.S. GAAP and compliance requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley.

Technical Skills
Experience in a manufacturing environment as part of a management team is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to influence financial performance, and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with SAP is highly desirable.

Travel Requirements
Minimal domestic and international travel may be required.
