Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, leading the oversight of program and grant financials while meticulously analyzing data to evaluate program success and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight and Budgeting: Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with all relevant software systems for accurate monthly and annual reporting.
  • Grant Management: Prepare and supervise budgets for grants and contracts, adhering to university and funding source regulations. Provide monthly financial reports to Principal Investigators (PIs).
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee grant budgets, ensuring compliance and providing detailed monthly reports. Lead month-end and year-end accounting processes, including report generation.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze financial transaction data to assist in evaluating program effectiveness. Prepare reports based on data from clinical education and graduate outcomes.
  • Operational Support: Guide faculty and research staff on grant regulations and budget compliance. Ensure timely submission of grant funding requests and manage post-award administration.
  • Compliance and Transaction Processing: Ensure adherence to university policies and federal regulations in all financial transactions. Recommend and process necessary adjustments to maintain budget integrity.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures.
  • Experience in grant preparation and budget management.
  • Background in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of on-campus and remote work within compliance with university policies.
