POSITION SUMMARY
The individual in this role will play a crucial part in the credit evaluation process by collecting and scrutinizing financial information, preparing analytical reports, and assessing the risk linked to both new and existing loan applications. This position collaborates closely with Loan Officers across various locations within the bank and performs routine tasks with a degree of independence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Support the credit evaluation process by analyzing financial and related data to ascertain the creditworthiness of prospective clients and the viability of their loan requests. Collaborate with loan officers to assist clients as necessary.
- Evaluate the credit status of current clients and their loans. Gather, analyze, and review data through direct assessments of the applicant's business and/or collateral, examination of financial documents, personal interviews, and other methodologies. Adhere to departmental protocols for reporting and/or managing problematic accounts.
- Prepare materials and assist in drafting loan presentations for the Loan Committee. When necessary, contribute insights regarding credit files as a participant in the Loan Committee (non-voting member).
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the bank's lending policies and possess the ability to advise, mentor, and train staff as required. Stay informed about all pertinent state, federal, and banking regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and loan analysis software to create models, both mathematical and statistical, that aid in risk assessment.
- Conduct reviews of appraisals and internal real estate evaluations as necessary. Obtain environmental assessments and analyze the findings.
- Perform inspections of collateral as requested. Generate and maintain credit-related reports as needed.
- Manage and oversee the credit file exception list. Assist in resolving exceptions across all offices.
- Monitor purchased and sold participations for interim and other documentation required by loan agreements and participation contracts.
- Assist all lenders in managing and monitoring agricultural and commercial loan accounts in accordance with established lending policy guidelines.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or accounting is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a credit analyst is preferred.
