About the Role:
The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting functions related to property transactions. This role demands proficiency in managing the financial activities of a vast portfolio of rental homes and contributing to financial reporting analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute precise and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing transactions.
2. Prepare journal entries, including prepaid amortization, Bad Debt Reserve calculations, and other direct expenses, reclassifications, and intercompany transactions.
3. Assist with audit requests, including general inquiries, preparation of schedules/reports, and testing of internal controls.
4. Analyze property-related transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, compliance, and reasonableness.
5. Support system and process enhancements to improve financial reporting and accounting efficiency.
6. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training documentation.
7. Assist management with special research projects and presentations as needed.
8. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, bank account reconciliations, and schedules for proper amortization, accruals, and true-ups.
9. Participate in the analysis of accounting transactions and financial reporting, such as budget-to-actual or month-over-month variance analysis.

Minimum Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards.
- 5+ years of experience in property management or real estate.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Familiarity with Yardi is advantageous.
- CPA designation is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
