POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Revenue Cycle Management plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle for AAIT RCM. This leadership position is responsible for guiding the billing and insurance teams, ensuring efficient operations across clinics and ambulatory surgery centers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

(1) Lead the coordination of the Revenue Cycle Department, focusing on billing and collection processes.

(2) Oversee eligibility verification, pre-authorization, and collection of co-pays and deductibles, as well as service coding and reporting.

(3) Evaluate and enhance departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and best practices in billing and collections.

(4) Manage charge entry, claim submissions, payment postings, and denial management, while monitoring staff productivity both in-office and remotely.

(5) Generate and analyze billing and collections data to support financial operations and improve reimbursement strategies.

(6) Provide strategic insights and guidance on the revenue cycle service line.

(7) Design and implement effective processes for managing third-party payer relationships and financial analyses.

(8) Ensure compliance with payer policies and guidelines in all billing and collection practices.

(9) Identify trends and issues in payer reimbursements that may affect the revenue cycle.

(10) Utilize data analysis and reporting skills to compile and present clear information.

(11) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding rules and guidelines to identify risks and opportunities in revenue generation.

(12) Collaborate with external financial advisors and legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

(13) Identify and resolve workflow challenges to optimize revenue generation.

(14) Work closely with management to address any operational issues impacting revenue cycle efficiency.

(15) Coordinate with collection agencies on accounts that require additional attention.

(16) Monitor accounts receivable metrics, including days in A/R and denial rates, to ensure financial health.

(17) Develop benchmarks and metrics for billing and accounts receivable performance.

(18) Direct the creation and continuous improvement of departmental procedures and best practices for billing and collections.

(19) Oversee training and development of departmental staff, including performance management and conflict resolution.

(20) Uphold professional standards and adhere to company policies and regulations.

(21) Work towards minimizing charge holds, rejections, and denials.

(22) Prepare comprehensive billing reports detailing adjustments and revenues. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Candidates should possess at least 2 years of progressive experience in physician billing or practice management, as well as management experience in revenue cycle operations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a full-time role requiring standard office hours, with occasional travel. The position involves various tasks, including writing, typing, and operating standard office equipment.
