Job Overview:

The Mechanical Integrity Engineer III plays a crucial role in enhancing the Mechanical Integrity program across the organization. This position focuses on existing assets and projects that involve new construction, efficiency improvements, capacity enhancements, and overall performance optimization of the facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert support to stakeholders through detailed technical analyses and mechanical integrity assessments.
  • Assist the engineering team with Suitability for Service (SFS) and Fitness for Service (FFS) evaluations of enterprise equipment and components.
  • Coordinate and plan mechanical integrity inspections, analyses, and data management in collaboration with Process Safety Engineers, Operations, Technical Services, and field personnel.
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Integrity team to achieve the goals of efficient mechanical integrity programs and inspections.
  • Advise management on the status of technical evaluations and maintain communication regarding developments.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences, conducting research as necessary to stay updated on technical advancements.
  • Ensure data integrity, reliability, and accessibility throughout the group by applying relevant skills and concepts.
  • Organize and update production information as data is received, and compile relevant data for engineers and operations leaders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable data for business requirements and assist with regulatory determinations as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required. A minimum of four (4) years of diverse engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical sector is preferred. A solid understanding of OSHA regulations, CFR parts 192 and 195, and NBIC is advantageous. Familiarity with ASME Section VIII Div-1 & 2, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 piping codes, as well as API-510, 570, 576, and 653 is also preferred.
