Job Overview:

The Mechanical Integrity Engineer III plays a crucial role in enhancing the Mechanical Integrity program across the organization. This position focuses on existing assets and new construction projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, increasing capacity, and optimizing the overall performance of facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and mechanical integrity engineering assessments to stakeholders.
  • Assist the engineering team with Suitability for Service (SFS) and Fitness for Service (FFS) evaluations on various equipment and components.
  • Coordinate and plan mechanical integrity inspections, analyses, and data management in collaboration with Process Safety Engineers, Operations, Technical Services, and field personnel.
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Integrity team to implement effective mechanical integrity programs and inspection strategies.
  • Advise management on the status of technical evaluations and keep abreast of industry developments through meetings and research.
  • Ensure data integrity, reliability, and accessibility across the team.
  • Organize and update production information as it is received, compiling and communicating data to engineers and operations leaders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of data relevant to business needs and assist with regulatory determinations as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required. A minimum of four (4) years of diverse engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical sector is preferred.

Preferred qualifications include a solid understanding of OSHA regulations, CFR parts 192 and 195, and NBIC standards. Familiarity with ASME Section VIII Div-1 & 2, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 piping codes, as well as API-510, 570, 576, and 653 is advantageous.
