The Asset Integrity Group at Frazer-Nash Consultancy is dedicated to ensuring the performance and reliability of mechanical structures. Our clients rely on us to provide assurance regarding the structural integrity of their assets.

Our team in Burton specializes in delivering expert analysis and assessments using advanced methodologies. We support various sectors including defence, aerospace, energy (both nuclear and renewables), and transportation. Our projects focus on high-value, high-performance, and safety-critical assets, ranging from the validation of new designs to the life extension of essential infrastructure.

We are looking for skilled structural integrity engineers to join our team to address the increasing demands from our clients. Ideal candidates will possess experience in the aforementioned industries and be proficient in conducting necessary analyses and evaluations in accordance with relevant industry standards (ASME, BS, API).

Successful candidates should have a proven track record in leading project deliveries and forming effective teams that meet client expectations. Experience in working with pressure vessels, piping systems, and rotating machinery is essential.

Additionally, candidates should demonstrate expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), fatigue analysis, fracture mechanics, and fitness-for-service evaluations.

Requirements:
  • A degree in engineering or equivalent (BEng/MEng, MSc; a PhD is advantageous).
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and inspections.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis tools (preferably Abaqus, Ansys, or LS Dyna).
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME III, ASME VIII, API579, BS7608, BS7910, R5/R6.

While experience in a consultancy environment, business development, client relationship management, and project management is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
