We are seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Accountant who is eager to grasp the essential elements of our Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Division. This role is crucial in ensuring the precision of cost accounting and pool allocation, alongside the preparation of financial statements. We are looking for an individual who will integrate into our processes and provide innovative insights.

The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit is dedicated to delivering expertise and business insight to enhance value across the organization by offering actionable information, recommendations, and opportunities that foster sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage actively in the month-end closing and financial reporting activities.
  • Ensure costs are accurately recorded and allocated in accordance with the accounting system design.
  • Validate the accuracy of monthly financial statements.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement figures between Aerospace and Corporate systems at month-end.
  • Execute special projects as directed by financial accounting management or SBU/SSU personnel.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all business dealings, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in managing monthly journal entries.
  • Support the reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Facilitate internal and external audit requests.
  • Propose updates to accounting policies as necessary.
  • Maintain a consistent and predictable work schedule.
  • Foster effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company. Interact appropriately to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

On-Site Work Environment: This position necessitates regular in-person engagement, requiring the employee to work on-site three or more days each week in the primary work location. Travel and local commuting between company campuses and other potential non-company locations may be necessary.

Working Conditions:

Work is conducted in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Higher-level degrees, such as a Master’s or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Relevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Degree must be from an accredited institution recognized by the US Secretary of Education.
  • Mission-driven, proactive attitude.
  • Experience in cost and pool accounting.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • CPA or other relevant certification.

Compensation Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $105,400

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
