Position Overview:

As a Senior Accounting Specialist at Flatiron Construction, you will play a crucial role in applying accounting principles to evaluate financial data and assist in the preparation of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and scrutinize financial data to execute journal entries in the general ledger.
  • Conduct detailed reconciliations of financial information for balance sheet accounts.
  • Detect potential discrepancies across various accounts and collaborate with the team to address these issues.
  • Reconcile bank accounts for designated entities.
  • Manage all intercompany billings for assigned entities, ensuring that related intercompany accounts are balanced.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by management.
  • Support the preparation, coordination, and input of month-end closing schedules and entries.
  • Compile and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.
  • Provide periodic support for special projects and investigations as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Tax Manager, or Assistant Corporate Controller.
  • Assist with both internal and annual external audits.
  • Support sales and use tax filings.
  • Maintain an understanding of the company’s values and strategic objectives.
  • Adhere to established corporate policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline is required.
  • Relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Developing analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrates personal accountability for tasks and seeks assistance when necessary.

USD $60,000.00/Yr. - USD $70,000.00/Yr.
