OVERVIEW

The Senior Portfolio Investment Analyst (PIA) operates within the Investment and Trading Solutions division and collaborates closely with the Global Trading team. This role entails working directly with portfolio managers and traders to facilitate the daily execution and oversight of investment accounts and orders. The Senior PIA is also tasked with supporting the investment workflow and conducting specialized analyses related to various strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate directly with the portfolio management team to model strategies through exposure tracking, trade allocations, and cash flow oversight.
  • Independently manage coverage for specific strategies, addressing issues as needed with a pre-defined approach for resolution.
  • Coordinate with analysts, portfolio managers, traders, compliance, and legal teams regarding portfolio and security transactions.
  • Proactively lead initiatives that enhance efficiency and promote best practices within the team, thereby minimizing risk.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in fixed income modeling, liaising with various departments including investments, client services, and operations.
  • Maintain relationships with trading and portfolio management teams, ensuring timely and accurate communication of any changes within the trading division.
  • Utilize internal systems designed for effective portfolio management and trade modeling.
  • Oversee portfolio analytics and accurately generate and execute orders throughout the trading cycle.
  • Provide precise interest rate and currency hedging information, along with other daily portfolio functions relevant to the assigned desk.
  • Mentor junior team members on complex modeling challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investments, portfolios, and financial markets.
  • Familiarity with fixed income markets and instruments, including derivatives.
  • Ability to swiftly process information, draw relevant conclusions, and summarize results effectively.
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks, planning, organizing, and executing assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
Preferred:
  • Possession of, or actively pursuing, an advanced degree or professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CAIA.
  • Proficient use of technology combined with a data-driven mindset.
FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This position allows for remote work up to one day per week.
