Position Summary: The MRO Parts Coordinator is responsible for the procurement, storage, inventory management, and distribution of all Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) supplies. This role requires collaboration with various internal departments and external vendors to ensure a consistent supply of essential tools, parts, and materials across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships with maintenance, manufacturing, research and development, finance, and regulatory teams.
  • Participate in or lead initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of the parts inventory program, including the identification and removal of obsolete materials.
  • Procure MRO supplies based on inventory reports and material reservations, utilizing existing contracts.
  • Authorize invoice payments and manage the return of merchandise as necessary.
  • Oversee inventory costs and the management of consumables and laboratory supplies.
  • Track and maintain inventory of non-vendor managed free stock materials.
  • Issue tools and spare parts to personnel, maintaining accurate records of items distributed and returned.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies, ensuring proper inventory practices are followed.
  • Verify the quality and quantity of received merchandise against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts received and issued, conducting periodic inventories.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing department to qualify new vendors and materials.
Leadership and Budget Responsibilities:

The incumbent will assist in tracking and developing the Parts Crib budget, receiving guidance from the Maintenance Manager.

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities:

Each employee is accountable for maintaining safety and environmental standards in their work activities.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with three years of relevant experience. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

  • Knowledge of GMP and Quality Assurance practices.
  • Project management capabilities.
