Job Overview

Position Summary: The Logistics Receiving Specialist is responsible for the receipt and routing of all incoming supplies, materials, equipment, and documentation in accordance with established policies. Accurate documentation of all receipts in the receiving archive and ERP system is essential.

Position Type: Full Time

Compensation: Salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and market alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain meticulous and comprehensive records
  • Verify received items against packing lists and purchase orders (including part numbers and quantities)
  • Accurately enter receiving traceability data into the ERP system
  • Review purchase order requirements against all received documents
  • Prepare documentation for receiving inspections and final processing
  • Conduct initial inspections for obvious defects and notify the Receiving Inspection team and Buyer
  • Collaborate with Buyers and Engineering to resolve issues with rejected components
  • Move products to designated areas upon completion of processing
  • Ensure positive traceability of products from unpacking to completion
  • Report any operational issues, faulty equipment, or defective materials to the supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas and equipment
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn about processes and components, taking ownership of the role
  • Handle all materials safely and efficiently
  • Scan and label receiving documents
  • Transport materials to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage, and manufacturing areas
  • Identify and label materials, recording their locations to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Conduct and report cycle counts
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a receiving role
  • Preferred 2 years of data entry experience with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Prior administrative experience is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new software
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive attitude and ability to foster effective working relationships
  • Relevant technical experience may substitute for formal education

Working Environment:

This position operates within a professional office environment that is part of a manufacturing facility. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers will be utilized.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include sitting for extended periods, occasional standing, bending, reaching, and walking. Light physical effort is required, including the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
