Position Summary

This role involves acting as a liaison between the organization and its supplier network, focusing on product and part procurement engineering and design issues. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that suppliers deliver high-quality components and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement supplier development systems for new supplier evaluation, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain an approved supplier list and quality assessment tools for new materials and suppliers.
• Establish incoming inspection plans and validation strategies for change management.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier quality metrics.
• Utilize sound statistical practices for effective monitoring and validation of supplier performance.
• Conduct and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and manage supplier risk profiles.
• Lead process improvements and recognition programs within the supply chain.
• Provide statistical insights for quality development initiatives.
• Manage nonconforming materials and lead disposition meetings.
• Train receiving inspectors on inspection techniques and equipment usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a production environment with related quality experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Familiarity with GD&T fundamentals, ISO 9001, project management, and process audits.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Mechanical knowledge to interpret drawings related to parts confirmation.
• Ability to perform inspections using industry-standard tools and techniques.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily office-based, with occasional travel required. You will also engage in laboratory work and activities on the manufacturing floor, utilizing standard office equipment and test measurement tools.
