Position Overview:

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the overall Human Resources function. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records and providing assistance in various HR areas, including recruitment, benefits management, employee relations, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive logs for new hires, terminations, transfers, and other employee-related activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with standards by maintaining employee records and files within the HR office systems.
  • Prepare necessary correspondence and memos as required.
  • Assist in the screening process for hourly applicants, determining eligibility for employment and coordinating with department managers.
  • Support all aspects of benefits enrollment and administration, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave policies, ensuring adherence to procedures and accuracy of forms.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions for new employees, providing an overview of benefits and company policies.
  • Manage Payroll Action Forms and maintain up-to-date information for payroll processing.
  • Notify management of upcoming performance reviews and track completion to ensure timely feedback.
  • Assist with reception duties, welcoming associates and directing them as necessary.
  • Contribute to the production of the associate newsletter.
  • Ensure compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act for all employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews and maintain tracking of feedback.
  • Keep bulletin boards updated with relevant information and materials.
  • Regularly inventory office and benefit supplies, completing purchase orders as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in hotel or human resources is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficient in basic computer skills with a typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
  • Hospitality-oriented with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent auditory and visual skills for conducting interviews and reviewing documentation.
  • Strong comprehension and literacy skills for reading and writing necessary documentation.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include the ability to transport supplies, bend or kneel for filing, and stand for extended periods during training sessions.

Work Environment:

This position primarily involves indoor work.

Salary: USD $23.00 /Hr.
