Position Summary: The MRO Parts Coordinator is responsible for the procurement, management, and distribution of all Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) supplies. This role requires collaboration with various internal departments and external vendors to ensure a consistent supply of essential tools, parts, and materials across our operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, R&D, finance, and regulatory teams to support MRO supply chain activities.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing inventory management for MRO supplies, including identifying obsolete materials and enhancing parts availability.
  • Procure MRO supplies based on inventory reports and material requisitions, ensuring compliance with existing contracts.
  • Authorize invoice payments and manage returns of merchandise as necessary.
  • Oversee inventory costs and develop controls for consumables and laboratory supplies.
  • Track and manage free stock inventory not under vendor management.
  • Issue and record spare parts, tools, and equipment for operational use.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies, ensuring accurate documentation of received items.
  • Verify the quality and quantity of received merchandise against purchase orders.
  • Conduct periodic inventory assessments to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing department to evaluate and qualify new vendors and materials.
Leadership and Budget Responsibilities:

The incumbent will assist in tracking and developing the Parts Crib budget and will receive direction from the Maintenance, I&E, and Facilities Manager.

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities:

All employees are expected to prioritize safety and environmental considerations in their work, utilizing their training and experience to perform duties safely.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with three years of relevant experience or training. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
