We are currently in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Production Reliability Specialist to join our team at Blue Origin.

The successful candidate will spearhead rapid enhancements in our production processes, boosting efficiency, consistency, and output rates.

This role entails taking charge of the resolution of production discrepancies and comprehending their implications on the overall system.

Your work will take place on the production floor, playing a vital role in ensuring the quality and dependability of our offerings, with a keen focus on minimizing risks, thereby facilitating safe and repeatable space missions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes, refining workflows, integrating inspection measures, and resolving persistent challenges.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to identify both immediate and underlying causes, thereby mitigating risks.
  • Oversee the non-conformance approval workflow, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and resolution with an emphasis on technical soundness.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems, continuously monitoring them to address issues, which may include hands-on testing, operational support, supplier engagements, and data analysis.
  • Evaluate and monitor critical processes to guarantee optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Authorize rework and repair procedures that deviate from standard production protocols.
  • Provide additional support and serve as a secondary review for production engineering to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure cohesive alignment and efficient workflows.

Minimum Qualifications:


A Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, coupled with practical experience in the assembly and/or operation of engineering products.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, potentially including knowledge of reliability engineering and discrepancy resolution.

A background in design and manufacturing engineering.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated capability to pose critical inquiries, tackle complex engineering challenges, and drive ongoing improvements.

Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

A genuine passion for human spaceflight and astronaut safety, along with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently on sophisticated and exciting challenges.

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Paid Time Off:
