Compensation Details$14.50 to $16.00 per hour
Non-exempt position (eligible for overtime as applicable under state law)
Position OverviewThis Security Officer role is essential for ensuring the safety and security of critical locations, employees, vendors, visitors, and the general public. We are seeking Security Officers for full-time, part-time, and flexible shifts, including day, night, swing, and graveyard shifts, with weekend availability required. This role involves enforcing security protocols across one or multiple sites. Collaboration with team members is crucial to mitigate potential risks, and all incidents must be thoroughly investigated and documented.Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a security presence at client sites to identify and deter potential threats.
  • Perform various fixed-post, mobile, or foot patrols while maintaining situational awareness and adhering to established protocols.
  • Act as the first line of defense against active threats, trespassers, and unauthorized individuals.
  • Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may pose security or safety risks.
  • Manage access control and oversee entrances, exits, perimeters, and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct roving patrols to monitor vehicular and pedestrian traffic, with the ability to manage traffic control as necessary.
  • Identify, report, delay, or detain individuals who violate rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a professional environment that prioritizes customer service while ensuring safety and security.
  • Work independently and adapt to various work paces while maintaining high levels of attentiveness and energy.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire departments, military units, and government agencies.
  • Safeguard sensitive and confidential information.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of threats, risks, and vulnerabilities at assigned locations.
  • Exercise sound judgment and flexibility in response to shifting priorities and challenges.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols.
  • Respond to and document all security incidents.
  • Perform additional tasks, related duties, projects, and special assignments as directed by the reporting manager or client.
Qualifications
  • Provide credible references and I-9 Employment Eligibility Documentation (legal eligibility to work in the U.S.).
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in a customer service-oriented industry.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Reliable transportation and proximity to assigned sites.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude.
  • Punctuality is essential; being late is not acceptable.
  • Must own a smartphone for scheduling and clocking in/out.
  • Experience in CPR, first aid, firefighting, and crowd control is preferred but not mandatory.
